UPCOMING PROJECTINGEBORGS MANIFESTO
The ambition with INGEBORGS MANIFESTO is to create a female character, a feminine body that speaks with Ingmar Bergman's words. Is new meaning created if the male genius is not male anymore? Will Ingeborg provide the audience the same sense of security, a genius that we trust? How do we listen to Ingmar's words when the sender is someone completely different? How can our play constitute a comment on an ongoing discussion about gender as well as masculine and feminine language?
Writer/director Petra Revenue and Gilda Stillbäck met during the project Mixed Minds in 2018 where they were invited to do collaborative creations together with 6 other female artists. The meeting took place during the "Bergman week" film festival in Fårö/Sweden. Together, the two artists found a seed to grow and during the autumn they designed a pilot for Ingeborg's Manifesto. A project that now finds it´s final format at Trixter, an independent theatre venue in Gothenburg, Sweden. Ingeborgs Manifesto will be premiered in March 2020.
